Building a clearer way to coordinate SEND work

Unisen is a pre-incorporation venture building clearer SEND coordination for schools and families in England. The product focuses on the practical work around EHC needs assessments: organising consultation evidence, tracking response windows, helping teams prepare coherent school responses, and giving families a structured way to review a draft EHC plan.

The venture is jointly operated by co-founders Hanad Ali, Husaam Ateeq, and Mikhail Wijanarko. They combine product, finance, engineering, and lived understanding of the coordination problems that arise when schools, families, professionals, and local authorities work across separate documents and systems.

Unisen is currently in pilot validation. Public demonstrations use fictional information and the service is not yet approved for live pupil or family casework. The team is testing workflows with prospective users, refining safeguards, and validating where a shared workspace can reduce administrative friction without replacing professional judgement or legal advice.

The product is designed around human review. Unisen can organise evidence and assist with drafting, but people remain responsible for checking the record, making decisions, and submitting any formal response.
