The 15-day school consultation window in plain terms
Schools often have 15 calendar days to respond to an LA naming consultation. How the clock works when evidence is scattered.

When a local authority consults a school about being named in an EHC plan, the SEND Code of Practice says the school should respond within 15 days. This school consultation period is separate from the statutory minimum period given to parents and young people to comment on a draft plan.
In practice the work spans inbox threads, professional reports, and draft wording that has to be specific enough to stand up later. Unisen’s first focus is making that case work visible and finishable on time.
Nothing here is legal advice. Always check the current Code of Practice and your local authority’s process.
